Interim Financial Controller

Our Client:

Our client is a local manufacturing business which forms part of a larger international Group. A role has arisen for an Interim Financial Controller with manufacturing experience and a proven management reporting background to provide in-depth analysis of financial statements to drive operational performance.

The Role:

The Financial Controller will provide leadership in all aspects of the company’s financial processes, supporting the senior leadership team with setting and achieving financial objectives and providing detailed financial information and analysis to facilitate effective business planning and performance monitoring. Ensuring that financial reporting is timely and efficient and compliant with best practice and Group standards, and will provide leadership and planning in the implementation and continuous improvement of financial and business systems.

• Leading a small finance team to complete transactional finance duties.
• Production of monthly management accounts to strict timescales including preparing and presenting to Senior Management Team.
• Report and provide insight on monthly product line profitability reporting. 
• Planning and advising on business strategy based on sound financial analysis in all areas of business. 
• Preparing Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts. 
• Transfer pricing analysis and ensure the local transfer price file is maintained. 
• Cash Flow management and forecasting. 
• Preparation of annual accounts and coordinate the external audit.
• Developing the company’s financial systems to meet the changing needs of the business 
• Contributing to continuous improvement strategies for the site.
• Ensuring robust internal financial controls are present in all areas of the business.
• Playing a leading role in the planning and implementation of business systems.
• Special projects including implementation of new ERP system.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant 
• Proven manufacturing experience in a senior management role. 
• Strong management accounting background, able to provide in-depth analysis of financial statements to drive operational improvement. 
• Commitment to continuous improvement programmes to drive change management within the business.
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems.
